Social media post and banner sizes for 2026
Every size below comes from the platform's own published pages, read in October 2026: its help centre, or Meta's and TikTok's ad guides where we found no other size, and each guide says which. Two rules hold everywhere: make tall posts (4:5 or 9:16) for phones, and keep words in the middle, away from the edges the apps crop or cover. Each guide shows a real example built from an AwaCut cutout.

Tall works best on phones: up to 3:4 (1080 × 1440) on Instagram, 4:5 on Facebook and LinkedIn feeds, and 9:16 for stories, reels, Shorts and TikTok.

YouTube 2560 × 1440, LinkedIn 1584 × 396 (Company Page 1512 × 256), X 1500 × 500, Twitch 1200 × 480, Facebook Page 851 × 315 (its fastest-loading size), Etsy 1600 × 400 or 3360 × 840.
Where do these sizes come from?
From each platform's own published pages, read in October 2026. Where we found no size for ordinary posts, as for Instagram stories or TikTok videos, the guide says so and gives Meta's or TikTok's ad figures, marked as such.
