What's new in AwaCut

App releases

1. 1.0.6Latest2026-10-13

AwaCut 1.0.6: your photos keep going after you activate

When the 10 free photos are used up, the rest of your photos now wait in the list, with a count of how many are left, and carry on by themselves the moment you activate a key. Nothing to add again, nothing to restart. The licence window is now translated into all 48 interface languages, with buying and activating each one click away.

2. 1.0.52026-10-06

AwaCut 1.0.5: phone photos upright, HEIC on Mac

AwaCut now reads the rotation phones save with each photo, so every portrait exports the right way up. On a Mac it opens HEIC, the iPhone's photo format, directly. The Chinese interface now uses Traditional characters. If a licence lapses, AwaCut keeps working and every version released while it was active still installs; newer ones come with a link to renew.

3. 1.0.42026-09-27

AwaCut 1.0.4: the Windows installer is signed

The Windows installer is now signed with a code signing certificate issued by Certum to AYA MIM S.R.L., the company that makes AwaCut, and Windows shows AYA MIM S.R.L. as the publisher. SmartScreen may still ask you to confirm: click More info, then Run anyway. Nothing changes in how you use the app.

4. 1.0.32026-09-16

AwaCut 1.0.3: licence check and an updated engine

The licence check keeps working after Polar, the store that sells and checks AwaCut licences, changed its defaults on 1 October 2026. The cutout engine and the app's libraries move to their current releases, security fixes included. Nothing changes in how you use the app.

5. 1.0.22026-08-14

AwaCut 1.0.2: cleaner edges on hair, fur and glass

AwaCut now measures the photo's original background and removes its tint from soft edges like hair, fur and glass, so cutouts sit cleanly on any new background.

6. 1.0.02026-07-25

   AwaCut 1.0.0 released

First public release: bulk background removal for macOS, Windows and Linux, fully offline, $29 a year for as many photos as you want.
