How to put clothes on a white background
Three steps in AwaCut, the same for one piece or a whole collection.

Pick White, Alpha or your colour
White is pure white, RGB 255. Alpha keeps it transparent. Custom gives any colour, for a shop with its own look. One setting covers the whole folder.
The collection, saved as it runs
JPG for listings on a solid background, PNG or WebP for transparency. Each photo is saved as soon as it is ready, at its original resolution, so the fabric still shows on zoom.

How to take pictures of clothes to sell
Three habits for flat lays and hangers that make the cutout clean.
Flat lay clothing photography: contrast underneath
Lay the garment on a surface that differs from it: a dark sweater on a light sheet, a white shirt on wood. Low contrast is where sleeves and hems get lost.
Check the fuzzy edge
Knits, wool and lace show quality at the edge. Compare Before and After on one of them while the rest of the folder runs.
One background per collection
Keep one folder per collection and one background setting. Every piece comes out the same, so the shop page reads as one shoot.
Why not a web tool that charges per photo?

Can it handle fuzzy fabrics like wool and knitwear?
Yes. AwaCut cuts on the full-resolution photo, so wool and knit edges keep their texture, like the sweater above. Try your own fluffiest piece: the first 10 photos are free at full resolution.
Flat lay or hanging: which works better for background removal?
Both cut out cleanly. Flat lays do best on a contrasting surface, hanging shots on a plain wall. Either way the whole batch comes out on one background, so the collection page looks consistent.
Can I process a whole clothing collection at once?
Yes: drag the collection folder in and every photo queues on its own, offline, about 4 seconds each on a Mac Studio (M4 Max). There is no per-image cost, so a 300-piece collection costs the same as a single photo.
Does it work for Vinted, Depop or Etsy photos?
Yes. The exports are ordinary JPG, PNG or WebP files that you upload like any photo, and they are yours to use commercially. No watermark is ever written into them, the 10 trial photos included.
Can I get clothing on a transparent background?
Yes. Keep the background on Alpha and export PNG or WebP: real transparency at the original resolution, ready for mockups, banners or your own site.
Can I use photos straight from my phone?
Yes. AwaCut reads JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP and TIFF, and on a Mac also HEIC, the format iPhone photos come in.
